Macaw World Florida is the rescue, sanctuary, rehabilitation, and breeding program of the Florida Macaw Conservation Center.

Are you a rescue or a breeding center?
 

We are both. Our organization includes rescue, sanctuary, rehabilitation, education, and conservation-focused breeding as part of one broader mission to protect the Scarlet Macaw.

Why do you breed macaws?
 

Our breeding program is designed to support conservation and long-term repopulation goals for the endangered Scarlet Macaw. It is guided by welfare, ethics, and responsible management.
 

Do you rescue surrendered birds?
 

Our rescue policies may vary based on space, resources, and the individual needs of each bird. Please contact us directly regarding surrender, rescue, or intake questions.
 

Can I adopt a macaw?

At this time, our focus is on sanctuary care, rehabilitation, and conservation-centered programming. Please contact us for the most current information about placement policies.
 

Can I visit the sanctuary?
 

Currently no visits are available In the future visits may be available depending on scheduling, programming, and bird welfare considerations. Please contact us for current tour and visitor information.


How can I help?
 

You can help by donating, volunteering, sponsoring a macaw, attending events, partnering with us, or sharing our mission with others.


Where do donations go?


Donations support food, enrichment, veterinary care, habitat maintenance, rescue efforts, educational outreach, and conservation programming.
